How Are You Finding Fulfillment?

Part of Holistic Health is finding fulfillment. According to Tony Robbins; “Only those who have learned the power of sincere and selfless contribution experience life’s deepest joy: true fulfillment.”

Contribution can take many forms. Giving your time, giving your money, sharing your knowledge are great examples. But the key is to do it with the best intention, and expecting nothing in return…not even praise or acknowledgement.

If you are looking for ways to give back, perhaps you can start with the basics:

  • Volunteering; at a seniors home, homeless shelter, community clean-up project, pet shelter, crisis center etc. You can volunteer your knowledge, your skills and/or your time.

  • Donating; used clothing, furniture or housewares to a non-profit second-hand store. Unwanted gifts, unused gift cards, or new toiletries to shelters or safe houses. Non-perishable food items to the Food Bank, or financial contributions to any worthy charitable organization or worthy cause.

  • Caregiving; to a loved one, a senior or a shelter pet.

If you aren’t in the place to do any of the above, are you doing the bare minimum of being a compassionate person? Are you giving up your parking spot, your place in line or your seat on the bus for elderly or mobility impaired? Are you holding the door open, using your manners, putting down your phone and making eye contact? Are you really listening in your relationships, listening to hear and not respond? Are you practicing gratitude for all your blessings in your life, remembering that someone out there would give anything to be in your shoes? How are you finding fulfillment?

Hmm. Food for thought!

…Stay Healthy Friends! :0)
